A native Californian, Paul Panossian was recognized for this artistic talent at a very young age. He mentored under many professional artists as a youth, concluding his formal education with a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Northridge where he had the opportunity to study with Hans Burkhardt. He is currently a Patron Painting Member of the California Art Club, an Associate Member of Oil Painters of American, a member of the American Impressionist Society and the Santa Barbra Art Association.
After completing his formal education, Panossian went to Europe to study firsthand the Old Master paintings he loved. When he returned he began painting for the interior design industry. Regularly commissioned to paint works of art for many of the foremost international design firms including Hirsch-Bedner Associates and Wilson & Associates, Paul’s artwork is now found in many private and commercial spaces. His patrons include Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas, the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia, Nordstrom, Paula Abdul, Alex Trebek, Liz Taylor and Kathy Ireland. His most recent commercial projects have been for Santa Barbara Cottage and Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital.
Panossian’s person artwork is characterized by intense color, sophisticated composition and painterly technique that has been immediately recognized by many art aficionados, collectors and critics.
He has received numerous awards through the years in juried national and international exhibitions including most recently being awarded the Workshops in France Award of Excellence at the inaugural edition of the California Art Club’s Biennale: Celebrating California Exhibition. The Art Renewal Center, which promotes quality as a primary criterion for the judgement of Fine Art worldwide, has recognized Paul Panossian’s paintings’ unique quality and sophistication in every A.R.C. International Salon Exhibition.
