Regina Lyubovnaya (Lyubov) was born in Moscow, Russia / December 1972. She immigrated to USA in January 1989 and in 1991-1995 she went to Loyola Marymount University and graduated in Bachelor in Fine Art and Bachelor in Art History. Further studies took her to 1995-1998 Art Center of Design, Pasadena and graduated in Bachelor in Illustration. In Regina went abroad to learn fine art painting at the Florence Academy of Art, Italy 1999-2000. Coming home Regina was a member of the Student league of New York in the city from 2000-2001. Currently and since 1999 Regina has studied with David Leffel (American Distinguished artist).
“Painting Light is still one of my most important reason why I paint, objects are just and excuse to arrange the melody of light starting slow and mysteries out of the shadow in the beginning of the painting and becoming more and more louder, brighter as it approaches it the end of the painting.”
